How to Book

Other Information You May Need

To book a holiday, a deposit of 25% of the tuition cost is payable. On arrival the balance will be due. If cancellation occurs 14 days or less before the first class then Burren Fiddle Holidays will keep the deposit. This is to compensate for the time spent in organisation, preparation and the loss in teaching hours set aside for your holiday, as these are difficult to fill at short notice. Payment can be by bank transfer or Paypal, whichever is easier. Please note that Paypal have a service fee of 4% of the payment.

Holidays are suitable for all levels, from those who are picking up the fiddle for the first time to advanced players.

If you do not have a fiddle or traveling with a fiddle is difficult, there are a small number of fiddles available to loan for the duration of the classes – please request to reserve one beforehand.

Tuition fees are charged at €50 per hour for an individual. Please enquire for group prices.

If you and/or your partner are not fiddle players Burren Fiddle Holidays can recommend teachers for other traditional instruments and may be able to organise tuition. Send details of what you would like through the contact page and they will see what they can do.

Burren Fiddle Holidays also offer shorter introductory classes for complete beginners. This includes an introduction to the instrument as well as an introduction to the fiddle in Irish traditional music. You will be taught your first tune and be given a recording of the tune to take away with you! Introductory classes normally take 1-2 hours. From autumn 2018, introductory classes are also available on tin whistle.
